The course has ended...once more!
One more time, one more year has gone by.
Many memories, many hours have passed.
Don't be sad. It is good that you say goodbye.
Now, when you return,
You will bring good and different news.
We will be the same, waiting for you.
There is not school,
If it is not full with you.
Come back if you please.
Be sure there will always be
A smile waiting for you!

CARNIVAL TIME...2011
Carnival is a time for transgressions. Teachers should give the power to Students to take over. This year, the students of 4º ESO Diversificación and myself decided we should show The Morato they are people with A FUTURE.
I went back to my year of student at my USA High School wehttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifaring my real graduation cap and gown. They are a symbol representing the ritual of leaving your home and parents care and entering the real adulthood and responsibilities in life.
It was fun to visit the School Authorities and Teacher's Room wishing them all a good carnival time. Feeling a real grown up is good for the students spirits and self steem. The 4ºESO Students will finish their compulsory education years this June, and soon they will have to decide what to do with their future. We all wish them the very best, although the 2nd and 3rd term exams have to be finished first. But that will be by the end of this week. WE have started it with CARNIVAL TIME...!!!

Summer Time...
Pues no me veo...
- Espera...

Paloma

Bon Jovi "It's my life" Live in Rock in Rio Madrid 2010
This ain't a song for the broken-hearted
No silent prayer for faith-departed
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud
CHORUS:
It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life
This is for the ones who stood their ground
For Tommy and Gina who never backed down
Tomorrow's getting hard make no mistake
Luck ain't even lucky
Got to make your owns breaks
Repeat - Chorus
Better stand tall when they're calling you out
Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down
Repeat - Chorus to fade

You shit, little parrot.
Un saludo afectuoso para tod@s.

No me podía resistir a escribiros unas lineas :)
DAY LIGHT AGAIN...
What a day! So many emotions all together, all in a bunch. Again a tsunami, but different for everyone this time. Congratulations for those who passed, and lots of encouragement for those who didn't. I will see you all on Monday, ready to start again. But now you need a rest. Take it good, take it long. I am myself writing after a long siesta I had to take after lunch. All morning I have been talking about you to my 1ºESO and 3ºESO students, and they were so silent listening to me and watching you through the windows! You are all a model for them to follow, so you have a huge responsibility towards others too. Many young innocent (!?) eyes are watching over you!!!!
Hugs and love for ever from Ms Barrancos.
MY WAY...
Good night dear ones!
Lo mejor de todo, COMPARTIR...
Bellezones imponentes.

Muchos Profesores.....Muchos buenos momentos pasados juntos...
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR LOVE. I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.
Ms Barrancos, with love!!!

I think we all will write in this blog, because it's a great idea and because we are friends since we were 3 years old, and we don't want to stop talking after high school.
We are working hard to get good marks in selectividad, so I want to think we will get them!
Thank you for this year of learning and good songs! (we are sometimes singing 'dancing queen' or 'mamma mia' together!)
ByeByeMorato (Laura González García 2ºB, 2008-09)
I will always remember one day students went out playing with the snow.
And I will never forget teachers that taught us how to be good persons. I admire them.
I am very pleased with this school because here I met my best friends. I feel sas I have to leave because I feel very comfortable here.
Now teachers tell us "you are ready to go to University", but I am scared. I am not scared to go to university, I am scared to miss the contact with my friends. Although I know that if they are my friends, I'll meet them frequently. My friend Paloma Gómez, always tells me that we will meet at a Chinesse restaurant, and we start to laugh...
I am happy to have been in this high school because here there are very nice people.
Bye Bye Morato!"

Hello Rocio Ponce and family! (Senior Year 1996)
I met Rocio and her beautiful family yesterday at the Fiestas del Amorós. Many of you will remember the days when this place belonged to all the neighbourhood, at least to those of us living in the surroundings of this school. Visit this blog if you'd like to know... ByeByeAmoros.blogspot.com
I had already met Rocio at Aguacate while visiting doctors, and she was pregnant and aleady a busy mom of twins!. Then she told me to say hello to ALL THE TEACHERS back at García Morato. She keeps a very good memory of all of us.
Thank you Rocio, we also remember you dearly!

"Bookends" 2009
Time it was, and what a time it was, it was
A time of innocence, a time of confidences
Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph
Preserve your memories; They're all that's left you
Old Friends 2009
Old friends
Old friends
Sat on their park bench
Like bookends
A newspaper blown through the grass
Falls on the round toes
Of the high shoes
Of the old friends
Old friends
Winter companions
The old men
Lost in their overcoats
Waiting for the sunset
The sounds of the city
Sifting through the trees
Settle like dust
On the shoulders
Of the old friends
Can you imagine us years from today
Sharing a park bench quietly?
How terribly strange to be seventy
Old friends
Memory brushes the same years
Silently sharing the same fear...
A time of innocence, a time of confidences
Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph
Preserve your memories; They're all that's left you

Surprise, Surprise! ...... Old Morato Students!
What a wonderful coincidence!
Daniel Ballesteros and Francisco Javier Toro
were at the same restaurant while we were having dinner.
They promised to come to the High School again and have a coffee. Hope they do, and tell us about how they remember us after all these years, more than ten....(I will have to check my files!)

Bye Bye Morato (Paloma Gómez del Tronco 2ºB, 2008-09)
I have spent the last six years of my life studying at García Morato High School, and I am very proud of it. My mother always tells me that the best thing I can do is learning and having fun. And that is exactly what I have been doing in this High School. I have been taught by some of the best teachers ever in my opinion, and I feel that this High School is my second home, and people who I see here everyday are my second family.
If I could start studying today, I wouldn't do it in any other place but García Morato High School. I wish I would have told all of my teachers how important they have been to me, but they are very clever, so I think that they all know it.
And I will never forget the support of my family and teachers, who have been trying to help me, and the great food made by our dear Maruja!

Goodbye Students Year 2009
You are the best our High School has. Teachers have spent hours talking to you and about you.
I would like you to be more than a memory. Why don’t you share some of your thoughts about the time you spent here with us? They may be useful to future students here in our/your blog:
“ByeByeMorato. blogspot.com”
I wish you all the best from now on. Come to see us sometime. It is always a pleasure to see you have grown up into such fine adults, and feel we are proud we were your teachers.
Good Night and Good Luck.
Yours always,

"All my loving" by The Beatles
Close your eyes and I'll kiss you,
Tomorrow I'll miss you,
Remember I'll always be true,
And then while I'm away,
I'll write home every day,
And I'll send all my loving to you.
I'll pretend I am kissing,
The lips I am missing,
And hope that my dreams will come true,
And then while I'm away,
I'll write home every day,
And I'll send all my loving to you.
All my loving, I will send to you,
All my loving, darling, I'll be true.
Close your eyes and I'll kiss you,
Tomorrow I'll miss you,
Remember I'll always be true,
And then while I'm away,
I'll write home every day,
And I'll send all my loving to you.
All my loving, I will send to you,
All my loving, darling, I'll be true,
All my loving, I will send to you.

You say stop and I say go, go, go
Oh, no

I say hello
I say high, you say low
You say why, and I say I don't know

I don't know why you say goodbye
I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye
I say hello
Why, why, why, why, why, why
Do you say good bye
Goodbye, bye, bye, bye, bye
Oh, no
You say goodbye and I say hello

Friends will be friends (Queen)
Read the lyrics, and stop to think in one of your friends at school.
Would you like to say something to him/her now?
Leave your message/comment, because friends need love and attention, remember?
Another red letter day,
So the pound has dropped and the children are creating,
The other half ran away,
Taking all the cash and leaving you with the lumber,
Got a pain in the chest,
Doctors on strike what you need is a rest
It's not easy love, but you've got friends you can trust,
Friends will be friends,
When you're in need of love they give you care and attention,
Friends will be friends,
When you're through with life and all hope is lost,
Hold out your hand cos friends will be friends right till the end
Now it's a beautiful day,
The postman delivered a letter from your lover,
Only a phone call away,
You tried to track him down but somebody stole his number,
As a matter of fact,
You're getting used to life without him in your way
It's so easy now, cos you got friends you can trust,
Friends will be friends,
When you're in need of love they give you care and attention,
Friends will be friends,
When you're through with life and all hope is lost,
Hold out your hand cos friends will be friends (right till the end)

WELCOME BACK
This is a blog to say goodbye now, but hello for ever.
Every year, the senior students at out High school will have a new space here after they graduate.
What for?
-To talk about all that they couldn't tell us teachers and other mates.
-To share those annecdotes that made them laugh one day and have remained in their memory ever since.
-To think aloud what they believe their future may be and share their doubts with us all.
-To tell younger students what they would never do again or would definitely repeat.
-To offer other senior students at Morato High a new job because they have become businessmen!
-To anything they consider useful.
